  3. Types of Visas Single-entry visa • Valid for 90 days only • Does not let you enter Russia more than once Multiple-entry visa • Valid for the whole period of stay • Lets you enter Russia as many times as you need

  4. When to apply for a multiple-entry visa? Single-entry visa expires 90 days after it was issued (August 25 + 90 days) Single-entry visa is to be replaced with a multiple-entry visa (not later than November 23) It takes 45 days to issue a multiple entry visa (apply not later than October 8)

How to get a multiple entry visa? photo Exchange students Full-degree students  passport migration card  migration registration notice  1 photo 3x4 (against white background)  payment document for 1000 rubles of visa extension fee*  certificate from your faculty confirming that you are an HSE student  letter of referral from the Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation (if it is mentioned in your visa)  •  passport • migration card •  migration registration notice •  1 photo 3x4 (against white background) •  payment document for 1000 rubles of visa extension fee* •  certificate from HSE International Students Office confirming that you are an HSE student *request invoice at visa-registration@hse.ru HigherSchoolofEconomics , Moscow, 2014

  6. How to get a multiple entry visa? Bring the originals of your documents to the HSE Visa and Travel Support Unit 40 Myasnitskaya St., bld. 1, office 218 Mon 10.30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Tue 10.30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Wed 10.30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Thu 10.30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Fri 10.30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

  7. What is a registration? Registration is an act of notifying the immigration authorities where you are staying in Russia

  8. How to get the registration? If you stay at the dormitory Upon your arrival submit to the dormitory administration • Your passport • Your migration card Pick up your registration slip at HSE Visa and Travel Support Unit in 3 days after you submit your documents If you do not stay at the dormitory Bring to the HSE Visa and Travel Support Unit • Your passport (photo page & visa page) • Your migration card ALTERNATIVELY send scanned copy of the documents to visa-registration@hse.ru Pick up your registration slip at HSE Visa and Travel Support Unit in 3 days after you submit your documents

  9. When to register the visa? • when you initially arrive in Russia • when you arrive in any place in Russia for more than 7 working days • Every time you arrive in Moscow after a trip to another place with an overnight stay at a hotel
