Persistent Neck Pain and Radiculopathy After Multiple Cervical Surgeries
A 38-year-old male physician experiences chronic neck pain radiating to his right upper extremity (RUE) despite undergoing three cervical surgeries in late 2010. Although a C6-7 laminotomy and discectomy provided some relief, he continues to suffer from ongoing neck pain, dysesthesia in all extremities, fatigue, and decreased sensation in the bilateral thumb and index finger. Neurological examination reveals mild hyperreflexia and significant canal narrowing at multiple cervical levels, suggesting ongoing nerve compression and persistent symptoms.
