Fiume Vistola Cattedrale Piazza Cracovia è l’antica capitale della Polonia, residenza dei re polacchi, città di molte chiese (chiamata “altera Roma”) e di una delle più vecchie università europee (Università Iagiellonica). Krakòw Cracovia si trova sulla Lista Mondiale dell’Eredità di Cultura UNESCO poiché essa raccoglie nei suoi musei e nelle sue piazze centinaia di monumenti di cultura e migliaia di opere d’arte

  5. MINIERE DI SALE La nota miniera della Polonia si trova nella città di Wieliczka. La miniera di salgemma è tuttora in funzione . Conta una lunghezza di 300 km di galleria e 400 metri di profondità. Questa miniera è stata visitata in passato da Niccolò Copernico , Goethe e Balzac.

  6. AUSCHWITZ Nel 1940 fu istituito dai tedeschi un campo di concentramento nella cittadina di Oświeçim. Potenziato nel 1941 con la costruzione del campo di Birkenau, fu il maggiore dei centri di sterminio nazisti per l’attuazione della “soluzione finale”, dotato di camere a gas. Vi morì circa un milione di persone, in maggioranza ebrei. Fu evacuato il 19-01-1945 davanti all’avanzata delle truppe sovietiche, che vi trovarono 7600 superstiti.

  7. SOSNOWIEC Superficie :91 kmq Abitanti : 240.000 Dove: a sud della Polonia e dista 290 Km da Warsawia , 90 Km da Cracovia e 30 Km da Auschwitz. Date da ricordare : 1902 : nascita di sosnowiec 1822 : aveva decine di miniere e 5 fonderie di zinco. 1939: trucidati 200 abitanti 1998: dopo alcuni anni di sofferenze , la città riacquista l’autonomia e inizia a riprendersi.

  11. River Vistola Cathedral Square Cracovia It’s the old Polish capital, where the Polish royal family used to live. It is a city full of churches (it’s called “altera Roma”) and it has got one of the oldest European universities (Jagellonica University) Krakòw Cracovia was included (in 1978) in the historic, first UNESCO List of World Cultural and Natural Heritage because it has numerous museums and pubblic squares hundreds of monuments of culture and many works of art.

  13. SALT MINE The famous Polish salt mine is in Wieliczka. The mine of salgemma still functions. It has got a gallery 300 km long and 400 m deep. This mine was visited in the past by Niccolò Copernico , Goethe e Balzac.

  14. AUSCHWITZ In 1940 a concentration camp in the centre of Oświeçim was created by the Germans. Upgraded in 1941 with the construction of the field of Birkenau, it was the greatest nazi center of extermination for the performance of the “final solution”, equipped with gas chambers. In Auschwitz approximately a million people died, in majority Jew. The 19-01-1945 the Soviet troops evacuated 7600 survivors.
