  2. How does the Phosphate in Rock Creek compare to the Snake River?

  3. *Aquatic Plants need phosphate to grow * Phospate can be considered as pollution to the water due to decreasing the oxygen in the water. *This cause is also known as eutrophication * When eutrophication continues plants become rotten, and produce a rotten egg oder produced by hydrogen sulfide gasses.

  4. BACKGROUND OF PHOSPHATES Phosphate is a fertilizer. It feeds the plants and alga get to big and use up all of the oxygen so the animals die. To test for phosphates you demineralize the water.

  5. Info on phosphate *The average of phosphate increased this year so it decreased the oxygen and fish in the water, and increased the growth of algae. A few years ago Snake River's phosphate average was very low so the growth of animals in the water was high.

  6. Data Information! Total Phosphate Data .06 How does phosphate make algae grow ? .1 .1 Phosphate makes the plants grow by acting as a fertilizer. .04 .05
