  1. ASTALDI’s first experience in Turkey dates back to 1987 with the construction of the Anatolian Motorway and since then it has proudly become one of the major players in Turkey for infrastructural works. Astaldi is the only foreign company member of the Turkish Contractors Association. Over the coming years, the Group will focus major attention on the planned infrastructural investments in the healthcare and transport sectors, to be performed using the general contractor and PPP formulas.

ANATOLIAN MOTORWAY: TEM Project Gdansk Under an Agreement signed on 29 January 1987 by and between Astaldi S.p.A.,” and the General Directorate of Highways of the Ministry of Public Works and Settlement of the Republic of Turkey (Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Turkey), Astaldi SpA was entrusted with the contract for design, construction, completion and one-year maintenance of Section 1 (Gümüşova – Düzce) and Section 3 (Bolu – Gerede) of the Gümüşova – Gerede part of the Anatolian Motorway and with the contract for design of Section 2 (Düzce – Bolu) of the same. The Works comprising the subject matter of this Agreement involved the Gümüşova – Gerede part of the Anatolian Motorway between Ch. 185+000 and Ch. 306+000 and was divided into three sections: • Section 1 Gümüşova – Düzce (~ 29 km) • Section 2 Düzce – Bolu (~ 24 km) • Section 3 Bolu – Gerede (~ 62 km) SECTION 1 SECTION 2 SECTION 3

BriefDescription of Works in Section 1-3: • The total length of Section 1-3 is 91km. • Inthescope of theContractforSection 1-3, thereare; • -         71 under and overpassbridges, • -         1.285 meters of viaduct • -         11.586 meters of culvert in varioustypes and sizes • -         91km, 3-lane, dual carriageway motorwayall designed, constructed and maintained for one year in conformity with international standards. • This 91km-long section of the motorway was opened to traffic and given final acceptance in partialy between 1992 and 1996. Total contratual amount was $297,017,970.- USD (including the Design Works) at contract rates.

Astaldi has completed the 116 Km long Gümüşova-Gerede section of the Istanbul-Ankara motorway and the most complex phase of this project was the 25-kilometres long Bolu Mountain stretch, that required building large and impressive tunnel and viaducts in a very highly seismic area using the most technologically advanced anti-seismic construction techniques. Still nowadays, it is the main example of a structure crossing an active fault and having survived the two severe earthquakes of 1999 without undergoing definite damage which would have compromised its recovery, thus deserving ENR – Special acknowledgement as "Best Projects 1999".

  9. The Kadıköy-Kartal section will be completed in a full respect of the execution time, even in a very complex context as works had to be performed aside a high traffic highway. Project comprises26 kilometers and 20 stations. The line will run across Istanbul’s Anatolian shore guaranteeing the transportation of 70,000 passengers per hour in each direction with an operating speed of 80 km/h.   12. The trial run along all the alignment is foreseen to be carried out from May to beginning of June2012. • Commercial operation is foreseen to be started by end of June 2012.

  14. The cable-stayed Bridge is 1 kilometer long and will cross the inlet of the Golden Horn, linking Galata side to Topĸapı. It will allow the passage of the new metro line Unĸapanı-Yeniĸapı and, with a 120 meters long swinging bridge portion, it will permit the crossing of vessels.

  17. This is the first airport concession contract that Astaldi is carrying out in Turkey using Project Finance. The construction of the new international terminal of the Bodrum Airport, is forecast to increase passenger traffic to 5million per year. • 18 Check Points for International & Domestic Flights Respectively; • 66 Check-in Points; • 5.000 Bagage / Hours; • 8 Passenger Bridges; • The works started in January 2011 and will be completed by May 2012.

  20. BOT CONTACT : This is the most significant BOT (build, operate and transfer) project to be accomplished in Turkey and one of the largest BOT motorway projects in the world. It is a 430 kilometers long motorway and it includes the crossing of Izmit bay with a 3 kilometers long suspension bridge – whose central span will be one of the largest in the world. The total construction cost is 6.5 billion US$ and Astaldi will built and manage this project along with five other Turkish contractors: Nurol, Özaltin, Mak-yol, Yüksel and Göçay.

  23. Etlik Hospital Centre with a total capacity of 3,566 beds has already been defined as the largest hospital centre in Europe. Astaldi’s bid proved to be the best in the awarding procedure of this concession initiative worth approximately 900 million Euros of total investments in PPP
