  5. Basic Training / F&B Service / Induction Booking Shifts All shifts will be verbally confirmed face to face or over the phone. You will be told what you will be doing, where you will be working, who to report to and what to wear. No matter how far in advance this is confirmed we expect that you turn up, turn up on time and work hard. If for some reason you do not like the shift please finish the shift and report this to us. We will then make sure we do not send you again. Please do not walk off site before your shift is finished. Cancellation Policy Once we have confirmed your shift you then fall into the cancellation policy. As a courtesy we ask that you give us 24hrs notice if you cannot attend a shift you have confirmed. In cases of emergency ONLY you must call 4 hrs prior to the start of your shift. Failure to do this is a disciplinary offence.

  6. Basic Training / Induction / Arrival at work Arrival at work Before going on an assignment you must ensure you have all the details you need. Where you are going, who you report to and what you will be doing. When you arrive on shift you must wherever possible use the staff entrance. If not please use the main entrance and ask reception for the manager that you need to report to. Please ensure you arrive to your shift on time. Basic Training / Induction / Timesheets FIVE THINGS TO REMEMBER WHEN COMPLETING YOUR TIMESHEETS Where you have worked: Company name and department Week ending date: Date of the Sunday of that week. Berkeley Scott week runs Monday-Sunday Your name: First and Sir name and employee number if you know it Signature of the Manager / Supervisor on site: confirming that you have worked the hours stated above. Without this signature your timesheet is invalid and can not be processed Total hours that you have worked: Start to finish time added up and to the nearest 15 minutes

Basic Training / Induction / Timesheets • You ALWAYS need to have a timesheet with you on shift unless your consultant has stated other wise • You will need a time sheet per client • Do not leave you timesheet on site for another day • Timesheets must be brought to the Berkeley Scott office by Monday at 12pm FAILURE TO DO THIS WILL RESULT IN MISSED PAYMENT • You can Scan, Fax and Email your timesheet into the office • (This is open 24 Hours a day, 365 days a year) • You can post your timesheet through the post box at the main office doors • In worst case scenarios you can take a picture of you timesheet on your smart phone and text it in (contact office for number)

  10. Basic Training / Induction / Smoking Smoking Policy It is now illegal to smoke in the work place. If you are on shift for longer than 4 hours and your manager allows you to take a break you must ensure if you are a smoker that you smoke in the designated area for staff. We do not expect anyone to be asking for a break on a 4hr shift.

  11. Basic Training / Induction / Mobile Phones Mobile Phones Please ensure your mobile phone is switched off at all times during your shift.

  12. Basic Training / Induction / Breaks Breaks Breaks will be given at your manager’s discretion. You are not expected to ask for a break or food if on a 4 hr shift. Your manager will tell you when it appropriate and where you can go for your break. Do not eat or drink any food or beverage unless specifically pointed out as staff food and drink by a manager on site

  13. Basic Training / Induction / Staff Areas Toilets, Staff Areas and Staff Entrances You must ALWAYS use staff areas, toilets and Staff entrances. Please do not use guest toilets under any circumstances. If waiting for a check in please ensure you do not wait in any public areas. Always ensure your valuables are locked away or in a management office. Do not leave your valuables without checking they are in a safe area. Avoid taking any unessential valuables to work

  15. Basic Training / Induction / Uniform Trousers • BLACK SUIT STYLE, BOOT CUT TROUSERS or BLACK • CARGO TROUSERS • PREFERABLY WITH CREASE • MUST BE PRESSED OR IRONED • CLEAN • NO PATTERNS OR PINSTRIPES • NO CHINOS, SKINNY JEANS OR SKINNY TROUSERS • PLAIN BLACK BELT WITH PLAIN BUCKLE (optional)

  18. Basic Training / Induction / Appearance Hygiene and Appearance Please ensure that you are freshly showered and deodorised before every shift. Hair must be neat and tidy and completely tied back off face. Make up must be natural and not too heavy. No Nail varnish to be worn under any circumstances. Perfume/aftershave not too heavy. No jewellery - Only wedding band is permitted No VISABLE tattoos, bright coloured hair or festival bands Clean shaven

Basic Training / Induction / One Compass Welcome One Compass Welcome for Agency Workers Compass group are Berkeley Scott’s largest client and therefore at some point in your time with Berkeley Scott Manchester you will work a shift at a Compass site. To work at a Compass site you will need to complete the One Compass Welcome Course. This will give you an insight in to the Compass Group before you start working. You must complete this course within your first month at Berkeley Scott to ensure you are eligible for the maximum amount of work. Please visit the following website and follow the instructions.
