This study explores the role of Vpx-VLPs in enhancing the infectivity of HIV-2 and SIVMAC in GFP+ cells. We assess the effects of pre-incubation protocols on viral entry using infectious lentiviral vectors. Different strains, including HIV-2, SIVMAC, and SIVRCM, were tested at varying multiplicities of infection (MOI). The presence of the CA p27 protein and Flag-Vpx was analyzed to understand the mechanism of Vpx's contribution to viral functionality. Findings reveal significant insights into the viral lifecycle and potential therapeutic targets.
