Number of Establishments - By Industry and Size • Of the 46,961 total employers, 76.7 % (36,040) have fewer than 10 workers and 88.1% have fewer than 20 workers. • Only 760 employers (1.6% of the total) have 100 or more employees. • Forty-six percent of the establishments fall into one of four categories: Retail Trade, Construction, Professional and Technical Services, and Other Services. Establishments With and Without Health Insurance Programs - By Size • Of the employers surveyed, 58.1% have a health insurance program, 41.9% do not. • Less than one-half (47%) of the employers with fewer than 10 workers have a health insurance program. • All of the employers with 200 or more workers have a health insurance program.
