Current Status and Schedule of Work Package 2 in Nuclear Reactor Core Design
This report outlines the current status and schedule for Work Package 2, led by Giacomo Grasso from ENEA, as presented at the PCC meeting in Karlsruhe on November 23, 2012. It covers key developments in core design for two domains: ELFR and ALFRED. In the ELFR domain, core design and characterization are complete, and thermal/hydraulic analysis is set to begin, while radiation damage analysis is pending. For ALFRED, core characterization is also complete, with thermal/hydraulic analysis almost finished and radiation damage analysis completed.
