Hallmarks of the Program … • Goal of Promoting Philanthropy and Providing Grantees with an Effective Development Tool • No Particular Restrictions as to Purpose • Foundation Match Dollars are Triggered by Community Participation in Designated Match Period • Match Goals Aligned with Budget Size • Bonus Match Possible for Overachievers

  7. 2014 Program Parameters • Requirements for Participation: • Qualified Charity or Fiscal Sponsor Partnership • Located in Wayne County • Good Standing with the IRS and the Foundation • Some Previous Relationship with the Foundation

  8. 2014 Program Parameters • Match Goal Eligibility Based on Current Year Local Operating Expenses • Up to $5,000 for Organizations < $200,000 • Up to $10,000 for Organizations >=$200,000 • We Reserve the Right to Adjust Match Goals

  9. 2014 Program Parameters • 12-Day Match Period:November 10 - 21 • Qualifying Gifts Limit: $1,000 per Gift per Donor per Organization • 1:1 Match up to Stated Match Goal • Cash Contributions Only During the Match Period • No Pledges

  10. 2014 Program Parameters • $152,500 Minimum Match Pool • Bonus Match Distributes Unallocated Dollars to Organizations that Exceed Match Goals • Prorated Basis • Up to Level of Overachievement

  11. 2014 Program Parameters • Gifts Received and Processed by Participating Organizations at their Locations • Verification • Spreadsheet Summaries • Copies of Thank-You Letters • Foundation’s Online Giving Option Available

  12. Key Dates • Thursday, August 28 – Application Deadline • October 16 – Participants Notified • November 10 through November 21 – Match Period • December 2 – Spreadsheet Summaries Due • December 9 – Copies of Thank-You Letters Due • All Distributions Made This Year
