  1. Going Paperless Grading Essays with your Tablet

  2. File Acquisition:Getting the Essays on your Tablet • Getting the Essays on your Tablet • Download directly to tablet from Blackboard • Access files from the Cloud (or NKU network drives) • Access files on your PC

  3. Download directly to tablet from Bb • Use Safari • Click “Assignment File Download” on Grade center column • Open in… WinZip or Documents app (Both Free) • These apps will allow you to open the ZIP file • Use “Open in…” to move file to cloud storage or annotation app

  4. Access files from the Cloud (or NKU network drives) • Use desktop PC to move downloaded assignment files to cloud storage service (Dropbox, Google Drive, Skydrive, etc) • Use iPad app to access file when you are ready to do the grading. • Use FileBrowser to access NKU network drives • Use “Open in..” button to move file to annotation app

  5. Access files on your PC • Use desktop PC to download assignment files to your local hard drive • FileBrowser can be set up to access your desktop computers hard drive.

Back to Blackboard:Grade Center on a Tablet • Getting to the right column in grade center • Hide columns • User & Column Navigation buttons • “Jump to…” button • Attaching annotated files • The Tricky part • Basic Workflow: • Upload to content collection using Web DAV folder • Set permissions to document • Copy link to file in content collection • Paste URL to “Feedback to User.”

  8. Setting up Web Folders • Go to Content Collection in Bb • Click “Set Up Web Folder” • Remember web address • Enter web address, username, & password into WebDAV Navigator app • Use “Open in..” button to add files to local store • Press and hold to upload to WebDAV folder
