  2. Time Management Basics • Everyone’s style is different, but you have to make it work! • Every college student has different priorities. Know yours and how they play into your time management. • Remember that your professors also have various priorities and responsibilities

Habits of Effective Time Managers • Be Proactive • Go to office hours, study groups, tutoring sessions, even when you understand the material • Turn in rough drafts of papers to get feed back before they are graded • Look Ahead • Keep a calendar that details the entire academic term • Write down the important tests dates, due dates for assignments, etc. in each one of your syllabi • Write down the important personal dates and responsibilities you have (birthdays, anniversaries, games, etc.)

  4. Habits of Effective Time Managers • Assign Amounts of Time to All Activities • Breakdown assignments into small pieces • Determine how much time it will take to complete each task • Mark off the allotted amount of time in a planner or other tool • Re-evaluate
