PERSONAL GROWTH TO IMPROVE WORK PERFORMANCE • Today’s office professionals are under constant pressure to take on more responsibility, juggle more tasks and work for more than one manager or team. • However, people’s perceptions of the PA’s role remain the same. This course provides practical guidance on changing these perceptions.   7. Meetings can be extremely effective ways of communicating with colleagues, getting things done and making decisions. That is, if they are organized and run in the right way. • Taking minutes can be a difficult, thankless task, thrust upon the unwary at the meeting. Minutes, too, need preparation and planning. • Who should attend this course? Secretaries, administrative personnel and anyone who needs to improve on their writing and minute taking skills.

THE MECHANICS/DYNAMICS OF MEETINGS - REPORT WRITING & MINUTE TAKING : • Recognising and understanding the purpose, importance and benefits of Meetings. • Understand the Nature and Characteristics of Meetings. • Understanding the Chairman’s Role and functions. • Apply specific techniques in planning and preparation of Meetings. • Recognising the importance and layout of proper Minutes and Agenda’s. • Understand the key terms used during meetings • Identify the main principles and guidelines to ensure effective and professional, written communication. • Structure and develop sentences and paragraphs that are clear, concise and logically constructed.

I’ll help you develop the skills to really understand why others at work behave as they do and to understand more about your feelings and behaviour. Throughout the course I will help you examine your own strengths and areas for development and career advancement. You will learn how to control your reactions so you come across confident and influential – behaviour that will lead to productive relationships at work.
