What is a School Counselor? • Someone to help students with their unique academic, personal/social, college, and career goals and concerns • Trained in counseling - must have a master’s degree in counseling with a high level of hands-on experience • The school counselor can help • Sort out problems with teachers, peers, family, etc. • Student learn to advocate for herself/himself • Discuss students’ needs and feelings • Explore academic, college, and career options • Make life decisions and craft plans to reach goals • Pinpoint strengths • Much more!

  5. Senior Year Updates Senior Committee self-nominations due to Ms. Gung by noon on tomorrow (Friday), Sept. 6 Senior pictures for the Yearbook MUST be taken by Prestige. See information Ms. Gung e-mailed out about how to set up an appointment with them. November 7th is the day Prestige will be at NSA for anyone who has not set up an individual appt. Senior status for yearbook must be set by 1/15/14. Graduation date is not set yet.

  6. Off Campus Lunch Forms Only for students with official senior status Three forms must be signed in front of school official or notarized Separate form for students who don’t plan to do it. Last year it did not start until 2nd quarter and until we had at least 80% of them returned. Tables set up for signing in the cafeteria
