General Information
9:00 is school start time • Doors open at 8:45 • Students that arrive after 9:05 will need to be checked into office by parent.
9:00-10:30 – Rotation 1 10:30-12:20 – Rotation 2 12:20-12:40 – Recess 12:45 – 1:15 – Lunch 1:20-2:10 – Intervention 2:10-2:55 – Rotation 3 3:05-3:55 - LAMPS
Recess • Unless it is raining, the heat index is over 100°, or the wind chill is below 32°, we will go outside! • Please dress your child appropriately or have them keep extra clothes at school.
Recess Equipment We could really use any of the following items: • Jump ropes • Soccer balls • Playground balls *No footballs please!
Snacks • Students will be allowed to have a snack before lunch. NO NUTS!!! • Snacks must be packaged. • Snacks may be eaten during the second rotation.
What happens when I am absent?
Sick Child • Child should not return to school until fever-free for 24 hours. • Upon his/her return, please provide a note or email explaining child’s absence. • It is student’s responsibility to get makeup work when they return.
Make-Up Work • Work will not be sent to the office daily. • Parents may contact the teacher to obtain work after a student has been absent for two consecutive days.
Homework • Expectation is 100% - neat, timely, student-completed • Homework should be completed with the proper supplies. • Homework Supply Kit needed at home. • Working Lunch(Make-Up Work)
Communication • Conduct card (weekly signature required) • Planner/Green Communication Folder • Teacher Webpages • Parent / Teacher Conferences • Email / phone calls • Remind 101 • SeeSaw(Watch for notices)
Goal is to teach organization, independence, and responsibility – get ready for middle school • Students MUST be held accountable for their choices and be made responsible for their work.
