  2. History • Abstract Expressionism is a painting movement, in which artists applied paint rapidly, usually to show feelings or emotion. Their paintings seems to be on accident. There is usually no real subject matter. The artists would paint images created from their unconscious minds. • It began in U.S in New York in 1930s and 40s.
