  2. 16 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by HIM and for HIM.  Col 1:16

  3. 18 The LORD God said: “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a suitable partner for him.” 20 The man gave names to all the cattle, all the birds of the air, and all the wild animals; but none proved to be the suitable partner for the man. 21 So the LORD God cast a deep sleep on the man, and while he was asleep, he took out one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. 22 The LORD God then built up into a woman the rib that he had taken from the man. When he brought her to the man,  

  4. 23 the man said: “This one, at last, is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; This one shall be called ‘woman,’ for out of ‘her man’ this one has been taken.” 24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and clings (cleaves) to his wife, and the two of them become one flesh. 25 The man and his wife were both naked, yet they felt no shame. Gen 2:18, 20-25

  7. 26 Then God said: Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule (Dominion) over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground. 27 So God created man in his image, in the image of God he created Him; male and female he created them Gen 1:26-28

  9. 21Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. 22Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.. Ep 5:21-25

  10. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled with God 2 Cor 5:20

  11. 26 For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. 2 Cor 2:15

  12. Purpose of Marriage: • To be God’s image, His ambassadors • Fulfill his Dominion mandate

  13. 26 Then God said: Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule (Dominion) over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground. 27 So God created man in his image, in the image of God he created Him; male and female he created them Gen 1:26-28

  14. 28God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful and increase in numbers; fill the earth and subdue it. Gen 1:26-28
