The Norco Regulators had an unforgettable experience at the USSSA Tournament, starting with vibrant opening ceremonies featuring a parade of participating teams. Dressed in costumes from "A League of Their Own," we joyfully engaged in pin trading with teams from across various states. Competing in pool games, we won our first two but narrowly lost the third. After entering the losers' bracket, we fought hard but faced tough opponents, ultimately being eliminated in a close match against the Arizona Thundercats. Despite the challenges, our team exhibited great sportsmanship and teamwork.

Opening Ceremonies • On Opening Ceremonies there was a big parade of all the teams that were participating in the tournament. You also get to dress up in costumes and do pin trading. My team the Regulators got to wear the costume from the movie “A League of Their Own”. You get to trade pins with girls who come from other states. There were 160 teams from allover the states like Colorado, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, and the rest all over Northern and Southern California. After the pin trading we got to have some ice cream and frozen lemonade with the coaches.
Pool games • Each team plays 3 games before they go into bracket. The tournament was a double elimination. My team the Regulators won the first two games and we lost the 3rd game. On the 3rd game we were down by 2 points and we had 2 outs. I came up to bat, there was a runner on first base I hit a homerun and as I was crossing home plate the right fielder threw the ball and hit the runner who had already crossed home plate and the umpire called her out. In the final score we lost by 1 point.
Bracket games • Since we lost the third game we went in the losers bracket which means that if we lose another game we are out of the tournament. The first game we played against Strike force and we won 4-2 but they didn’t count the last run so the final score was 3-2 since it was the last inning and we needed 2 points to tie the game or 3 runs to win and we won.
Bracket games • Our second game on Saturday we played the Arizona Thundercats, it was a very tough game . The score was 0-0 till the 7th inning we kept on holding them and they kept on holding us. Until the 7th inning they had bases loaded and most girls were hitting them to the outfield and that’s how they scored their runs. Then we game up to bat and they got 3 outs and we ended up losing the game. The final score was 2-0. So we were eliminated from the tournament.
