  2. Mike Lupica Biography • Mike Lupica was born May 11, 1952. Mike Lupica was born in Oneida, New York and grew up in Nashua, New Hampshire. Mike’s parent’s are Lee Lupica and Benedent Lupica. Mike is married to Taylor Lupica and has four kids named Chis, Alex, Zach, and Hanna. They now live in Connecticut, New Canaan. Mike went to Bishop Guertin High School and Boston Collage. Mike has earned many awards incuding: #1 New York Bestselling Author, #1 New York Times Young Adult List, Best Selling Author and many more. Mike began writing books at the age of 16 and Mike got his first book published on August 17, 1984. Mike has writen over 30 novles, magazines, sports biographies, non-fiction books on sports.

  4. travel team • The genre of my book is sports. The settings in my book are school, home, Hanesboro. The characters in my book are Danny, Mom, Dad, Ty Ross, Mr.Ross, Teddy Moran. The plot is that Danny wants to play basketball but he is too small. So, Danny goes to try out’s for the Travel Team and the coach thought he was good enough to make the team. Danny’s team won the school’s championships. I thought this book was very good. It talked a lot about how Danny wanted to play basketball. This book is very good to read when talking about bullying. I would tell somebody about this book and hope they would check this book out.

  5. Batboy • The genre of my book is sports. The book describes how the boy and baseball connect. The characters in my story are Liz Dudley (Brian's mom), The boy (Brian), idle (Hank Bishop), friends ( Finn, Kenny) and his boss (Davey Schenkel). My setting takes place between Comerica, Brian's house, and the Sting’s baseball field. The problem in my story was Brian didn’t get along with his idle, Hank Bishop and his dad left him when he was a kid. Eventually Brian gets along with Hank and he gets to see his dad every once in a while. In my opinion I like the Batboy. I'm not a big fan of baseball but I was interested in the Batboy. I will most likely get another book by Mike Lupica.

Compare and contrast Similarities Differences • Batboy is about Baseball but TravelTeam is about Basketball. • The Batboy’s story stays in one place and Travel Team’s story go’s all over the world. • In Batboy there are less characters then in Travel Team. • Both Batboy and Travel Team are sport books. • Both Travel Team’s and Batboy’s family members include their mom and dad’s name and they both have a mom and dad • Both Batboy and Travel Team have setting at their houses. • Both characters in Travel Team and Batboy don’t have pets. • Both books are written by Mike Lupica.
