In the CSE 3 course at UCSD, I gained valuable skills in desktop publishing and web development. I learned to create informative documents using Microsoft Word, transforming them into PDF files for online sharing. PowerPoint was utilized to visualize stock profits and losses interactively. The course introduced HTML for web page creation and JavaScript for dynamic content, enhancing my computational thinking. Additionally, I explored data analysis with Excel and visual programming with Alice, preparing me for advanced programming concepts and making the internet engaging and interactive.

Desktop Publishing with MS Word Making Information Available to the world with HTML and Web Pages Presentation of Information with MS PowerPoint Microsoft Powerpoint was was also taught and we used stock profits and losses to display how to use it in an online manner. Again, this was a PDF online. I learned to effectively use HTML to create web pages for fun, which I never would have imagined ever doing. With that said, I learned a lot from taking this CSE 3 course at UCSD. I learned to use Microsoft Word and published a page by creating a PDF file of my work. Computational Thinking Using applications such as Notepad++, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, and Alice, CSE 3 students wrote in HTML, Javascript, and even touched on C++. Data Analysis and Visualization with MS Excel Dynamic Webpage Programming with JavaScript Visual Programming with Alice Alice was a prep for Javascript because of the use of methods and booleans as well as if and else statements. Cell manipulation came in handy in learning how to use Excel and process a large amount of data at once. Javascript was the final milestone in CSE 3, which made the internet extremely interactive.
