Marketing Checklist cont’d. • Ask the end user: • What products or services are being used and why? • Would they test samples of your product? • What is the last price they paid? • What is their annual volume? • Are they satisfied? • Present your product/service: • Provide specifications and/or literature. • Ask how many samples they need to test • Ask how long will the test period be • Discuss the results

  10. API Options Option #1 – Manitoba and Canada Set-Asides Option #2 – Mandatory Aboriginal Participation Option #3 – Aboriginal Business Participation Option #4 – Aboriginal Standard

API Options • Aboriginal Business Set-Aside: A purchase of a good or service that has been reserved for competition among Aboriginal businesses only. • Aboriginal Business Mandatory Participation: A portion of the tender must be provided by an Aboriginal business, as a contractor or subcontractor. • Aboriginal Business Participation: Terms and Conditions that indicate that Aboriginal business participation is desirable only. • Aboriginal Business Standard (RFQ): A condition of a tender that indicates that Aboriginal business participation is desirable and nopoints will be assigned in the tender document for Aboriginal Business Standard.
