County Activators The essentials… • Aged 22–24 yrs (when you apply) • Resident in England • Motivated • Able to commit 9 months part time volunteering from June 08 – April 09 • 1 residential weekend • 1 day at weekend training club activators • Minimum of 10 hours per month extra (on phone, web or face to face) • Able to enthuse others • Willing to travel to rugby clubs across your area • Good at communicating with a wide range of people • Able to challenge other people’s views and be open to the views of others

County Activators Other skills and qualities… • Able to work with different people • Commitment • Be able to flex and adapt to different situations • Willing to learn • Creative • Good time management skills • Up for a laugh • Open minded • Have access to internet • Be willing to get stuck in and take part

County Activators will… • participate in training to equip them as a county activator • help develop the recruitment, project and training resources • recruit and support 7 'club activators' each giving a total of 203 • organise and run training events for club activators • support forums (on line and face-to-face) • monitor the progress of their club activators • give feedback about their experience and help improve the programme

Club Activators The essentials… • Aged 16–24 yrs (when you apply) • Resident in England • Motivated • Able to commit 6 months part time volunteering from June 08 – November 08 • 1 day at weekend training • Minimum of 4 hours per month • Able to enthuse others • Good at communicating • Organised

Club Activators Will… • Recruit 5 young volunteers • Develop a short term project relevant to their local needs from one of four themes • Advertise their project using the National Volunteer Database • Submit a project report on completion • Promote the on-line tools • Give feedback about their experience and help improve the programme

Partners • v is an independent charity championing youth volunteering in England • v exists to inspire a new generation of young volunteers (aged 16-25) and enable a lasting change in the quality, quantity and diversity of youth volunteering • The Match Fund aims to create an additional £100m of investment in youth volunteering in England, attracting £50m from the private sector matched by £50m from Government • v will match investment from the Rugby Football Foundation to support the vRugby project

Partners • The Rugby Football Foundation (RFF) is a Charitable Trust established to promote and develop community amateur rugby in England. • The Foundation provides the investment for the community rugby programme and administers a Capital Fund to the financing projects aimed at improving facilities which lead to the recruitment and retention of rugby players. • The Rugby Football Foundation is a funding partner for vRugby

Partners • Community Rugby is the brand under which Rugby Football Development Ltd delivers all aspects of grassroots rugby • Community Rugby provides opportunities for lifelong participation in a team sport as players, coaches, match officials, and volunteers • Community Rugby has national, regional, county and local partnerships including a wide range of equity partners • Community Rugby will be the delivery partner for the vRugby project
