The Improving Teacher Education in Maths & Science project (ITEMS) aims to elevate the quality of teacher education through innovative online modules and training programs. Running from January 2009 to December 2010, this initiative addresses the need for improved education methods in science and mathematics to boost student interest and teacher motivation. With partners across Europe, ITEMS has developed engaging online courses, resources, and mentoring approaches that utilize ICT to foster new learning environments. Designed for teachers and aimed at students aged 13-16, this project emphasizes the importance of lifelong learning in education.
