Gaelic football is a beloved Irish sport with a rich history dating back to its first championship in 1887. The GAA acquired Croke Park in 1913, and the prestigious Sam Maguire Cup began in 1928 when Kildare triumphed over Cavan. Our school Gaelic team practices every Thursday, led by John, who inspires us to improve our skills. As we worked towards the Active School Flag, we embraced Gaelic, utilizing nets we received two years ago. The rules are simple—bounce or solo the ball every four steps, and tackle the goalkeeper! Join us in this thrilling sport!

About It ! Gaelic is an Irish sport. The first ever championship was in 1887. In 1913 the GAA bought Croke park for three and a half thousand pounds. The Sam Maguire Cup was first played in 1928 Kildare beat Cavan.
School Gaelic Team John comes in every Thursday and teaches us Gaelic. Last year he took us down to Malin to play another school. We played it a lot when we tried to earn the Active School Flag. We got Gaelic nets two years ago. We use them every day.
Rules The rules of Gaelic are very easy. • Every four steps you have to solo it or bounce it. • You can only bounce it once then you have solo it. • But you can solo it as much as you like. • You can tackle the goalkeeper.
