Second trialrule 2-2-1b • Interference not within the control of the performer • Torn hand guard • Power failure • Broken equipment • Remedies available to the gymnast • Repeat exercise in its entirety • Continue from point of interruption • Request for a second trial must come before score is flashed • Chief judge determines the time for the second trial • Score of the second trial shall be final www.nfhs.org

Facilitating vaultsRule 6-2-6c (5), 6-5-1 (a-e) • Handspring - • -1.0 if facilitated in the first flight • -1.0 if facilitated in the second flight • -2.0 if facilitated in both flights • Salto Vaults only - • VOID if facilitated in the first flight • -1.0 if facilitated in the second flight • All other vaults – • VOID if facilitated in either flight www.nfhs.org

  6. Uneven bars – compositionrule 7-3-3 Required Composition deductions: • Lack of performance of both forward and backward circling elements is a 0.05 deduction • Lack of 2 bar changes is an up to 0.10 (-.05 each) deduction • Fall from one bar, continue on the other is a bar change www.nfhs.org
