BASAL ALIGNMENT PROJECT • The Basal Alignment project is a partnership between The Council of Great City Schools and Student Achievement Partners partnered together to launch an initiative called the Basal Alignment Project (BAP) • Professional educators work together to write questions for curriculum materials so that there is a stronger alignment to the expectations of the Common Core Standards. • The work focuses on creating text based questions in basal readers for grades 3-5.
