PCQI CERTIFICATION The PCQI certification indicates your recognition as a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual to conduct or oversee certain activities specified in Preventive Controls for Human Food rule (21 CFR 117). The curriculum for that course was designed by the FSPCA and is recognized by the FDA as adequate to meet the requirements of the PC rule. BD Food Safety Consultants LLC offers FSPCA PCQI training in Chicago and Atlanta to keep you in compliance. This course developed by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) is the “standardized curriculum” recognized by FDA. Successfully completing this course is one way to meet the requirements for a “preventive controls qualified individual.” The courses are taught by Lead Instructors trained by the FSPCA, who have been instructed in how to teach the FDA-recognized standardized curriculum. Participants in this training will be required to take a test, and will earn an official FSPCA certificate for becoming an FDA-recognized “Preventive Controls Qualified Individual” (PCQI) with the credentials for creating a FDA Food Safety Plan with hazard analysis and risk-based preventive controls.
