  3. A little about me… • Teaching 24 years 11 years in the UK 13 years in large International schools- Egypt, China and Brunei 2 years EAL coordinator/teacher • Experienced teacher of all KS2 year groups. • Experienced EAL teacher of children aged 5 – 12. • Mother of two, aged 12 and 13

  10. Home learning schedule Please note that reading books and diaries should be returned daily in your son/daughter’s folder.

  11. How to help your child with home learning • Establish a routine with your child: a set time and place for home learning to be done • Check what tasks have been set and that your child understands what needs to be done • Encourage independence: facilitate not dominate!

Expectations In Year 3, the children will be encouraged to: • Further develop their ability to work independently, in pairs and groups • Manage their routines maturely • To develop their personal goals • To present their work in a variety of ways • To become self motivated to achieve their subject goals.
