  4. Conceptual scope: Is the intention of the teaching and learning clear in the content descriptions and or do you need the elaborations? Is there a sense of development and consistency through the year levels? Student learning: Consider all aspects of the curriculum in terms of where students at that year level are ‘at’ developmentally are their conceptual and abstract thinking, prior knowledge and experiences, and their social and emotional development apparent.

  5. Year levels Is there a sense of development and consistency through the year levels? Is a school plan able to be developed from the content descriptions? Can you suggest what a school plan might look like? How long do you estimate that it would take to teach the draft curriculum in each year K-6?

  6. Achievement standards An achievement standard is an expectation of the quality of learning that students should reach by a particular point in their schooling (e.g. the depth of their understanding, the extent of their knowledge and the sophistication of their skills).
