  2. Yakisoba(meaning fried noodles) is a traditional Japanese dish that is served at festivals and in homes all around Japan. Served with Yakisoba sauce (a thickened Worcestershire sauce) this delicious meal can be served on a plate or in a bun like a hot dog.

  3. INGREDIENTS 2 packets ramen noodles Olive oil 200g chuck steak ¼ cup peeled and thinly sliced carrots ½ green capsicum ¼ medium onion ¼ small cabbage Yakisoba sauce

  4. Skin the carrots and then proceed to thinly slice them. Next thinly slice the onion.

  5. Cut the capsicum in half and then proceed to slice it thinly.

  6. Shred the cabbage by hand until you have h.alf a cup worth of pieces

  7. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan/wok at a medium heat.

  8. Cook the beef until it browns and then season with salt and pepper.

  9. Add the carrots, capsicum and onions to the pan and cook for a few minutes.

  10. Add the cabbage and cook for a further minute

  11. Add the noodles and the yakisoba sauce and cook for a further 3 minutes.

  12. Plate up the yakisoba and you’re ready to eat. Serves two.

  13. Or one hungry person.
