  1. LPC “Run Plan” • The LPC has 2 main efforts • Training, workshops, support, mentoring … • A center of excellence for CMS physics – fast and accurate • We need to be sure to cover both aspects well – especially the latter. • Suggest a new meeting – the “US CMS Daily Run Meeting” • Showcase US efforts – LPC, ROC, Data Ops • Handoff from CERN/DESY – later handoff to India/China • Communicate the excitement of LHC data – team building, nucleation – in the US and specifically at the LPC (critical mass teams)

Nov-Dec Run Plan • 0.9 and 2.2 TeV at low luminosity • 10 million events in 1 day at 100 Hz with minbias? • Examples of physics topics • Tracking and alignment • CSC alignment with halo events • UE and minbias – measurements and Pythia tuning • Azimuthal balance of events/jets • L1 jet trigger turn on • Neutral pion reconstruction • Focus EJTerm exercises on CRAFT and early data issues?

  6. January + Run Plan • Sort in order of cross section – time ordered • B tag – soft muons • Photon + J compton – Pt balance • Psu in muons and electrons • W, upsilon • Z • Top pairs • Diphotons • Z -> tau decays
