If you are part of the baby boomer’s era, then chances of you riding a traditional pedalled bike will be pretty high. You would have enjoyed cycling along the roads but when it comes to cycling up hills and slopes, then you will understand the type of energy and sometimes, the pain needed to cycle up slopes. For more information, visit: http://www.urbanebykes.com/about-urbanebykes.php These days, there are many types of fancy bikes. There are the mountain bikes with the various brake gauges, and there are the normal BMX bikes with just a simple braking mechanism. And today, electric bikes are another new generation of bicycles that allows you to pedal or switch the motor on, and you have a bicycle that moves on its own without you breaking a sweat. There are 5 factors you have to consider in deciding what bikes to buy. 1 - Riding up hills and slopes If you intend to travel to places that has hills and plenty of up slopes, then an electric bicycle will serve you well. As pedalling is going to be pretty tough on your legs, bicycle will use its motor battery to power you up the hills. Thus, giving you the time to enjoy the scenery as well as having an easier time going up hills. 2 - Your route But if your journey mainly involves a short distance and the roads you will be traveling are flat with little challenge, then a normal bicycle might just do the trick. And it is cheaper of cost. 3 - Speed If you are looking for speed, then choose a normal bicycle. The electric bicycle is just to alleviate the stress of pedalling so that you can enjoy your trip, but if you are aiming for a fast bike, then the traditional ones will be best suited for you. 4 - Bicycle stunts If you want to perform bicycle stunts, then stick with the simple bicycles as they are cheaper. If you are into extreme sports, then there are another range of stunt bikes you can choose from.

  2. 5 - Extremely long distances Bikes that has a motor mounted to it can only go as far as the battery life it has. If you like cycling all day, then there is really no point for you. You can buy spare batteries to give the bike a longer distance to cover but there is still a limitation. And not to mention that charging the batteries can be between the range of 6 to 8 hours too.
