  2. Responsibilities • Be ready for your shift • Know where the emergency exits, pull stations, and fire extinguishers are located. • No outside food or drinks are allowed in the venue. • Bags can only be checked if you have been trained to do so.

  3. Very Important! • You need to move patrons through the line very quickly and efficiently. • Direct patrons in the right direction and the usher will get them to their seats. • Each event is different, but patrons are not allowed to bring in any objects into the venue except for coats/clothing and handbags. • If a patron has an extremely large bag, poster, banner or other paraphernalia, ask the patron to step aside and wait. Call a uniformed officer or supervisor to approve/ disapprove the materials being brought in by patrons.

  4. Know what to Look for! • You need to know what to look for on a ticket. Unfortunately we do have people who fake counterfeit tickets. • Dates • Times • Seating • Ticket color • A credit card receipt is Not an entry ticket. • Some times the season ticket holder/concert patron tear off the wrong part of the ticket; be kind and patient with them. • If you encounter a problem with a ticket refer the customer to the box office.

  5. TicketsEach year the color changes

  6. Customer Service • Customer service, patron experience and patron safety, are our Number 1 goal at the Adams Center. • Smile, be polite and attentive! • You need to try to determine the difference between a real issue and a story. • You need to be calm, courteous and firm! • You are representing the University of Montana and the Adams Center.

  7. Re-Entry Policies • Know the re-entry rules for each event. • A concert may have a strict NO re-entry policy. • Athletic events allow re-entry with a ticket stub and/or a hand stamp.

  8. What to do? • What to do if someone comes to an event and has had too much to drink before they enter the venue or during the event? • Call Campus Security, 243-6131 or 243-4000 • Do Not attempt to restrain the individual • Do Not grab or touch the individual • Keep an eye on the individual then direct Security to the location.
