  1. How to Clean Up After an Event

  2. Clean Up Basics • It is important to leave the concession stand cleaned and stocked. • Note that if the stand is found dirty or unstocked by the next group, a $25 fee will be deducted from your group’s payout. • Once the game or event is nearly over, you may begin cleaning up: • Football - beginning of 4th quarter • Soccer – 5 minutes left of second half • Baseball - beginning of 8th inning • Basketball - 5 minutes left of second half • Volleyball, Wrestling, or Other Events – use your best judgement

  3. Cleaning the Popcorn Machine • Turn off the machine and unplug it. • Remove all popcorn and kernels using handheld broom or paper towels. • Empty the seed drawer at the bottom of the machine. • Clean under the machine. • Wipe inside and out of machine with warm water. • Do not use other cleaners. • Wash and dry the scoops and measuring cups.

  4. Cleaning the Nacho Machine • Turn off the machine and unplug it. • If there is cheese leftover, write the date on the bag with a Sharpie and put it in the refrigerator with the nozzle still attached. • Clean the machine, taking extra care to wipe the area where the nozzle was threaded. • Wipe inside and out of machine with warm water. • Do not use other cleaners.

  5. Cleaning the Hotdog Machine • At end of night, turn off the machine and unplug it. • Discard any remaining hotdogs. • Seal leftover buns. • Wipe rollers and the rest of the machine with warm, soapy water. • Wash and dry the utensils. • Do not use other cleaners.

  6. Cleaning the Pretzel Warmer • *Note that the baseball stadium DOES NOT HAVE a pretzel warmer.* • At end of night, turn off the machine and unplug it. • If there are pretzels leftover, write the date on the bag with a Sharpie and put them in the refrigerator. • Clean the machine, wiping inside and out of machine with warm water. • Do not use other cleaners.

  7. Remaining Clean Up • Follow closing instructions for all machines that were used. • Be sure all chips, buns, etc. are sealed and stored. • Place chocolate candy in refrigerator when weather is above 70 degrees (baseball and stadium only). • Make sure all drinks and candy are fully stocked. • Sweep floors. • Tie up trash and do the following based on location: • LNHS Baseball Field – leave tied up bags inside • LN Athletic Complex - leave tied up bags inside • LNHS Field House Indoors – leave tied bags IN CAN and roll to hallway • Follow money-handling instructions to count down the earnings and handle the cash and deposits. • Be sure that concession stand lights are off and door is locked when you leave. • Note that the stadium hot chocolate dispenser and coffee pot are connected directly to the water line in the wall. Therefore they cannot be unplugged from the wall, however they should be TURNED OFF.

  8. Before you leave, make sure one last time that all machines are UNPLUGGED. Text the location manager if the stand is low on any items. Thank you for your hard work!
