  1. When first starting the graduate program at YSU, my artwork was very different than the works that I create today. There are still traces of techniques that have always kept me passionate about the visual arts, but I feel like I have a direction that matters now. As an art student at Kent State University I started my college path in the visual communication design program. There, I worked prominently with composition as we dealt with magazine and webpage layout.

  2. I want my works to sell!Colors?Composition?Marketable?

  3. http://martinlawrence.com/bertho.html PHILIPPE BERTHO, Femme Sous Emprise (Woman under Pressure)Hand-pulled serigraph on gesso board, 26.75 x 45 inches, edition size: 237, Each print is hand-signed by the artist and numbered.

  4. My Journey through the YSU program has made me realize that my passions for the visual arts stem from an appreciation for the aesthetic experience. The interactions I can achieve through the media I choose can be described as spiritual. I have often felt as though I have a connection with the works that am creating.

  5. My work has shifted back to paintings in which I can interact with the painting that transpires during my experimentation of media. The colors and forms that emerge from my multimedia research spark conversation of which the artist can comment.
