  2. What is the secret service? • a branch of the Treasury Department that deals with providing protection for the president.

  3. What is a sniper? • A sniper is a person that is trained to operate guns that shoot from a far distance in a secret place. • Secret service are trained to stop snipers

  4. How does my expert handle a sniper? • They use a team of agents • They use anti-sniper techniques • Some agents go on top of buildings to look for snipers • They use radios to talk to each other • They look for possible snipers before the VIP gets to the area

  5. What does it take to become a member of the secret service? • If you what to be part of the secret service you have to be honest and the president has to trust you. • You have to apply for the job • You have to take written tests • You have to pass a physical fitness test • You have to be able to drive a car

  6. What is my expert’s favorite gun? • Sig Sauer P-229 9 millimeter semi- automatic pistol. • It is the gun that he uses in his job

  7. Do you go on missions? • My expert has been to 40 places around the world such as: • London ,England • Paris ,France • Brussels , Belgium • Frankfurt , Germany

  8. My Expert’s Favorite Mission • His favorite missions were to countries that end in “stan” for example: • Afghanistan where Rafi and Naiel are from • Pakistan • Kazakhstan

  9. Where do you work? • We also work in one of several field offices located in the U.S.

  10. I asked my expert“Is your job hard?” • “I can tell you that it involved a lot of travel, both here in the United States, as well as travel to foreign countries. It took me away from home for long periods of time, and I was not able to be with my wife, my two sons or my dog.”
