  3. Step One: Beginning Ideas • Come up with an idea • What problem will your character solve? • Decide on • Plotlines • Characters • Story

  4. Remember to Think About… • Genre • Horror • Strategy/Puzzle • Adventure • Action • Type of Game • First Person Shooter • RPG • Simulation • Music Game • Sport Game

  5. Step Two: Planning Phase 2 • Storyboarding • Character Design • Appearance • Skills/Powers • Personality • Depicting environments • 2D? 3D? • Other characters as well

  6. Step Three: Creation and Programming • This is where you actually physically create the game • Coding • C/C++ • BASIC • Java • Python • Some programs for making “home made” games include • Genesis 3D • Game Editor • Flash
