Welcome to fourth grade. I am glad you are in my class, and I look forward to getting to know you better. We have much to learn. I hope you are eager to use the computer, play learning games, do science experiments, learn to write stories, develop your creativity, and read many great books. Please talk to me when you have something to share, when you do not understand, or when you are upset. I will listen carefully. I expect you to be a good listener, too. Working together, we can make fourth grade a very special year. Sincerely, Mrs. Hurt
