  2. Teaching Philosophy • Philosophy is the science dealing with the general causes and principles of things. • A teacher is someone who portrays knowledge about a subject. • Every person in every profession has had a teacher in his or her lifetime; they are the key to everyone's success.

  3. Teaching Philosophy Cont’d • My main goal as a Physical Education teacher is to incorporate movement into every activity. • I plan to fight to keep Physical Education in the school curriculum. • Do the best I can to provide fun activities that promote life-long physical activity.

  4. Teaching Philosophy Cont’d • I want to get away from just teaching mainstream sports, but rather incorporating different games from all over the world. • I want to become a teacher because I want to make a difference in someone's life.

Tech Autobiography • I am familiar with both the Mac and a PC. • I know how to how to manipulate the “mouse.” • I am familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Access. • I am also familiar with designing Webpages with programs like FrontPage and Macromedia Dreamweaver. • I know how to create graphics using Adobe Photoshop, Photodraw, and other various graphic softwares.

Reflections • It seems as though classrooms are becoming more student oriented then they were in the past. • Learned behavior does not need to be seen to prove that learning is taking place. • The education system has become more hands-on and manipulative for students; this allows them to get a better feel for what they should be learning. • Teachers should have philosophies that are not necessarily set in stone but rather ever changing with every new experience.
