Beaumaris Castle

DESCRIPTION

This model represents Beaumaris Castle as it was intended, based on an illustration by Terry Ball (1987). The castle, although never finished, showcases ambitious design features reflecting its historical significance. My decision to depict the castle in its intended state honors the vision of its creators while acknowledging its current ruinous condition. The model includes detailed elements such as inner and outer walls and various towers, allowing for intricate assembly. A special thanks to all contributors for their support in creating this unique representation.

  2. Quite a hard decision to make. The castle was never finished and is now in a ruinous state. The decision options were: • A model in its present state • A model in the state it was left in. • A model of the way it was intended. I have decided on option 3. This picture is a reproduction of the illustration by Terry Ball 1987 of his imaginative reconstruction of Beaumaris Castle as published in CADW booklet. I thank all for it’s use.
