  1. Into the life of…Alexis Marie Knoll Block 5 Mr. Hanley English 12: 21st Century Media

  2. Who am I? • Alexis Marie Knoll • Born February 2, 1996 • Attends Fraser High School • Works at Jet’s Pizza; Grosse Pointe, MI • 2 sisters, 1 brother and 1 nephew

  3. Hobbies! ★Hanging out with friends ★Going to concerts ★Being outdoors I am a very social person. I love going out and trying new things. Some hobbies of mine include..

  4. Preparing for Leadership What is Leadership? Leadership is the action of leading a group of people or an organization. Who has prepared me for Leadership? My cousin Bryan has prepared me for leadership. Growing up, Bryan wasn’t around a lot because he was away in Afghanistan. When I was around the age 15, Bryan became more involved in my life, teaching me everything about becoming a leader. As a Marine, Bryan has lead and taught many young people in his life. In my life, Bryan has shown me that a great leader is always willing to try new things, be confident, communicate, and always have a positive attitude.

  5. In the future… I am officially a high school senior and graduation is just around the corner. The next step in my life is COLLEGE! With college comes a career. I’ve committed myself to Wayne State, majoring in the Psychology field. I have always wanted to find a career where I am putting others before myself and a social worker does just that. I hope to go beyond just helping people, but actually making a difference in their lives. If I really put my heart into it, I believe I will become a great worker and leader.

  6. Further Preparation for Success To prepare myself for my career, I plan on attending Wayne State, getting a degree in Psychology and getting a job in the social working field. Any job working with children to adults would make me happy. If I stay focused, I will achieve all my plans and be successful. Things to keep in mind… • Stay focused • Word to my full potential • Be driven • Don’t give up

  7. My Best Assets… Becoming a great leader in any career requires strengths. Some of mine include.. ✓Hard working ✓Fast learner ✓Devoted ✓Positive

  8. How will my strengths help me? For my career in social working, I will be working with people all the time. Being devoted to a career that involves relationships with people will benefit me so much. Having a great relationship with my clients will allow me to work without it even feeling like a job. Having a positive attitude is a great strength because it gives me the drive to achieve and be as successful as I can be.

  9. Weaknesses Everyone has weaknesses. They may be small or big but with a little bit of belief and a lot of devotion, anyone can overcome them. A couple of mine include… • Independent worker • ✗ Perfectionist

  10. How will I overcome my weaknesses? Being a person that is an independent worker, its going to be tough being thrown into the work force and having to accomplish with others. I believe that as long as I keep an open mind, I will be able to reflect and benefit from others ideas. Any weakness can be overcome with a positive attitude and the right mind set.

  11. As a leader in the real world.. As an upcoming graduate, I know that I have prepared myself for the workforce and being a leader. Everyday I will continue to become a better person and leader. Once I graduate, I will remember one thing: “Leadership is practiced not so much in words as in attitude and actions”
