Our team aims to create a robust cloud implementation that delivers mobile applications over WiFi. By leveraging cloud computing, we provide scalable services on virtual machines hosted on powerful physical servers. We've reached an important milestone by successfully installing Eucalyptus, establishing a Cloud Controller, and implementing Node Controllers. Our architecture supports efficient application hosting and management. As we advance, we're focused on enhancing scalability and performance for large-scale applications. Goal Statement Create a cloud implementation that can serve applications to a mobile device over a WiFi connection.
What is Cloud Computing? From Engineering View : Providing services on virtual machines allocated on lap of large physical machines In Business Term : A method to address scalability for large scale applications
First Milestone Create the cloud by installing Eucalyptus
Running our own UEC Prerequisites At least two dedicated systems 1. System with fast disks, reasonably fast processor to hold Cloud Controller (CLC) Cluster Controller (CC) Storage controller (SC) 2. Node Controllers (NC) that will actually run the instances
Work Accomplished Till Date Installed the Cloud/Cluster/Storage/Walrus controller on Front End Server. Installed the Node Controller (NC). Developed a bridge between the Cloud and Node Controller.
