  1. The amazing Olympics This power-point is about the Olympics. There is going to be information on what sports are played at the Olympics, what athletes there are and about the counties who have played in the Olympics.

  2. Football at the Olympics • The host of the last Olympics was china. • The last county who won the football men's tournament was Argentina. Runners up were Nigeria. • Argentina won the tournament 1-0 against Niger

  3. Running at the Olympics • Usain Bolt won the last 200m rely in beijieng. • He set the world recorded there.

  4. London 2012 • London will be holding this years Olympics. • The games start on the 27th of July 2012 to the 12th of august. • The last time the games were held at London was in 1948.

  5. Wenlock and mandivlle • Wenlock and mandivlle are London 2012s Olympics mascots.

  6. Great Britain • GB first appeared at the games in 1896. • GB won 19 gold in 2008. • They won 13 sliver in 2008. • They won 15 bronze in 2008 also.

Wenlock and mandivlle • The mascots were unveiled on 19 May 2010; this marks the second time (after Vancouver's Miga, Quatchi, Sumi and Mukmuk) that both Olympic and Paralympic mascots were unveiled at the same time. The mascots were created and designed by iris, a London-based creative agency. Wenlock and Mandeville are animations depicting two drops of steel from a steelworks in Bolton. They are named after the Shropshire town of Much Wenlock, which held a forerunner of the current Olympic Games, and Stoke Mandeville Hospital, a facility in Buckinghamshire that initially organised the Stoke Mandeville Games, the precursor of the Paralympic Games.
