  2. Rythm • The rhythm of this collection is really balanced. • There is a lot of repetition in details such as • Welt pockets • Inset pockets • Flap pockets (for slacks) • Use of bulky knit and knit details • Style of slacks

  3. Balance The garments are all symmetrical in style and fit

  4. Proportion • All of the garments are proportional to a boy toddler’s body. • No curves because a toddler’s body if very straight • The woven garments are made slightly loser to allow some wiggle room

  5. Unity • The garments are united through the theme of “Dinner with the Family” • The color scheme carries throughout the collection with deep browns, grays, and blues • Similar fit of garments throughout collection

  6. Emphasis • There is some emphasis on the neck and waste lines with the use of rib knit fabrics which could elongate a toddler’s body

  7. Line • Lines are created with the rib knit details on the cuffs, hems and necklines of sweaters, attracting the eye • Lines are barely curved because a toddler’s body is fairly straight • Lines in the trousers are crisp and clean • Zig-zag lines are in the herringbone structure of the base fabric • Plaid in novelty fabric and woven layering have straight lines

  8. Form The garments are tube-like in construction, following the natural fit of a toddler’s body. • The clothing is constructed for comfort and mobility for a child.

  9. Shape • The collection is made up of tubular silhouettes

  10. Space • Space is created in the garments for mobility of the child • There are no darts or fitting details in any of the garments to bring the clothing closer to the body • The only fitting technique used is elastic bands on the trousers to keep the pants from falling

  12. Pattern • The structural pattern of the garments have fairly straight lines • Herringbone detail in the base fabric creates a zig-zag pattern • Plaid in the novelty and woven fabrics

  13. Color and Value • The color scheme for this collection uses various hues of grey, brown, and blue. • Analogous colors of different shades and patterns
