  1. Welcome to VQEG Kyoto 2008! Some information about the meeting arrangement from the host…

  2. Meeting rooms • Japanese room (Hiei) available only on Monday a.m. • The main conference room (Aoi) available from Monday through Friday. (8:30-21:00) We are here! Main room Aoi Japanese room Hiei Lobby Lunch Kiri Kibune Kurama

  3. Connect to the Internet. • Internet access is available at the meeting rooms and the lobby area on the second floor (24h). • Wired: • Connect the cable and use DHCP. • Wireless: • SSID: vqeg • Authentification: use “open system” • Encryption: WEP-key: a52de42cb6

  4. Refreshment and lunch • Refreshment is prepared at approx. 9:00 and 15:00 everyday. • Lunch is prepared as follows: • 3/3(Mon.) and 3/4(Tue.) • 15 people at room “Kiri” @ Apical Inn • Others at SAINTMARC near Apical Inn • 3/5(Wed.) , 3/6(Thur.) and 3/7(Fri.) • …..not decided yet. Looking for nice Japanese food 

  5. Invitation to welcome reception • Welcome reception is planned at YUMIYA in Apical Inn at 18:00 on Monday.

  6. Dinner in Gion • Another dinner is planned in Gion, which is one of the best night spots in Kyoto, on Thursday.

  7. Hotel info. (only Apical Inn) • Return your key at the front desk during day time. (for house keeping) • Need to lock the door of your room manually. (no auto-lock!) • Need to book breakfast before 8:00 p.m. (not included in the room charge!) • Apical Inn is CLOSED at 24:00!!
