  2. “Home Safety” QuickSeries Guide • A new QuickSeries guide to home safety is available from the Naval Safety Center. • Topics include Christmas trees, food safety and cookouts, electricity, extension cords, fire extinguishers, kitchen fires, ladders, lawn mowers, poisons and smoke alarms. Also included are on-line home-safety references. • The 32-page guides are good refreshers on basic precautions and hazards, particularly for activities that you are unfamiliar with or that you haven’t done for a while. They also make excellent handouts for safety-related events. • ilitary spouses can request copies by emailing kisha.mcleod@navy.mil.
