Regional Workshop: “Strengthening the Sustainability of Community-based Development through Social Entrepreneurship”, Bratislava · 4 December 2009 Consolidating a successful alliance: THE PARTNERS Goal: to support UNDP’s priorities in poverty alleviation, promoting democratic governance and human rights (…)uniquely placed to help partners in government, civil society and the private sector to meet these challenges. UNDP is helping countries reform; (…); tackling crippling unemployment in the Western Balkans; boosting regional cooperation in Central Asia; providing high-level policy advice to governments in the Caucasus and Western CIS (…) UNDP-BRC Goal: to gradually build up a European corpus of theoretical and empirical knowledge around SE and other “Third Sector” issues. EMES (The EMES European Research Network) Euricse (European Research Institute on Cooperatives and Social Enterprises) Goal: to promote dialogue, knowledge sharing and innovative forms of collaboration among the growing number of scholars and research centers committed to study cooperatives and SEs.
