A significant number of papers were sent for remarking, with alterations of two national curriculum levels resulting in some cases. Science results were not recorded accurately, with children marked as absent who were present. Following protracted discussion between the school and QCA, results were finalised in February 2009, and the school received a written apology. Link Adviser highlights and developments – Personal development and well being were judged as outstanding in the 2007 inspection. School is focussing on the development of writing across the school and developing the use of Primary National Strategy Assessing Pupil Progress materials. This has involved paired lesson observations with senior leadership team, pupil interviews and pupil work scrutiny. Link Adviser highlights and developments - The school is viewed as having good practice in relation to inclusion. In addition to the school’s focus on the less able children, school monitoring and evaluation is developing in relation to more able children Children have been working with a local artist and their work has been on display at The Comrades of the Great War in Blackpool town centre.
