No useless repetition in the Quran • لا أعبد ما تعبدون ولا أنتم عابدون ما أعبد: present • ولا أنا عابد ما عبدتم:I am not a worshipper of what you worshipped (past) • ولا أنتم عابدون ما أعبد: You are not worshippers of what I worship (all the time) • The Messenger’s state is fixed, they are changing • Transformed from actions to state • لا in Actions and state is used for the messenger • For them only the state is used • لا is more permanent than لن
