And what are desires? • Our Daily Bread • Health and wellbeing • Nice-to-have • 1 Timothy 5:8 ( NIV ) If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. • 1 Timothy 3:5 ( NIV )(If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?) • Luke 16:10 ( NIV )“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.

  4. 3. “Woman is like a rose. Treat her right, she blooms; treat her wrong, she wilts.” • Examples from real life? • ??? • The verb, “to husband” – “to manage prudently” = to grow and nurture • 1 Peter 3:7 ( NIV )Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.

  5. 4a. “Mom’s trying to fix me. I’m not broken!” • Men, who sees your problems best? • Yourself • Wife • Mother • Proverbs 23:22 ( NIV ) Listen to your father, who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old. • Proverbs 1:8 ( NIV )Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction and do not forsake your mother’s teaching. Mother

  6. 4b. “My wife’s trying to fix me. I’m not broken.” Wife • 1 Peter 3:1 ( NASB ) In the same way, you wives, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any of them are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives, • Malachi 2:16 ( NLT )“For I hate divorce!” says the LORD, the God of Israel. “To divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. “So guard your heart; do not be unfaithful to your wife.” • 1 Corinthians 7:34 ( NIV )… An unmarried woman or virgin is concerned about the Lord’s affairs: Her aim is to be devoted to the Lord in both body and spirit. But a married woman is concerned about the affairs of this world—how she can please her husband.

Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. • 2 Corinthians 4:1-2 ( NIV ) Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

Above all kingdoms, Above all thrones. Above all wonders the world has ever known. Above all wealth, and treasures of the earth – There’s no way to measure what You’re worth! Crucified, laid behind the stone. You lived to die, rejected and alone! Like a rose, trampled on the ground, You took the fall, and thought of me, Above all!
